Stop making resolutions you won't not stick to
Seriously we all do it. Why not make a commitment to your health. One of the most common resolutions is to lose weight and get healthy, we all see those social posts that poke fun at the fact that big gyms are overflowing with New Year members looking for the quick fix, but then say “don’t worry you’ll get your treadmill back, membership will drop off by February”, well here are a few reasons drop off happens.
Five reasons some members don’t stick it out longer than a month after joining a gym.
- You don’t have the proper planning, training, and guidance
- Your workouts are not measurable – you don’t see a change
- You flounder - trying to figure out exercises scaled to your ability
- You are not challenged to do a little bit more – so you do less
- Your workout becomes routine – it just gets boring
One of the best programs to join would be a SWEAT and Strength program mainly because you don’t have to figure it out on your own. You will have someone that will help customize a program that works for you. You work together to figure out your short and long-term fitness goals. Also, having available resources for planning and tracking your fitness actually makes reaching your goals attainable.
So instead of joining a gym that doesn’t know what your fitness goals are or even how to meet them, you should take a look at a gym that offers you the guidance, support and motivation you will need to keep you excited about your milestones and engage you and other members in creating a better you in 2018 and beyond.
